Plant Care Tips

Advice for beginners in indoor plant care

Though plant care is fairly simple, there are a lot of components that need to be satisfied so you can have the healthiest and happiest plants!

Light Requirements

Most indoor plants prefer bright, indirect light. Leave them out of direct sunlight to avoid wilt; a shaded corner or shelf works much better.

Watering

Though it can be tempting, don't overwater your plants! Check if the top inch of soil is dry before watering, or bottom water. This is when you leave your plant container over a bowl of water, so the roots absorb from the bottom.

Humidity & Temperature

Tropical plants enjoy higher humidity. To fix this, you can try misting your plants with a spray bottle to ensure that their leaves are receiving the water they need.

Repotting

When you first buy a plant, it is best to repot it into a pot that is big enough for it to grow. It is recommended to repot every 1-2 years in a slightly larger pot with fresh soil.
