Shrimp Fried Rice!

Description for the meal!

The reasons why I choose shrimp fried rice as the food for my project is because its one of my favorite things to eat when I can.

Ingredients for shrimp fried rice!

• 8 ounces small raw shrimp, shelled and deveined.
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
• Freshly ground black pepper.
• 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch.
• 3 tablespoons peanut oil, canola oil, or rice bran oil.
• 3 large eggs, beaten.
• 2 green onions, minced.
• 4 cups leftover rice, grains separated well.

Directions!!

1. Prepare the shrimp:Peel and devein the shrimp, then optionally season with salt and pepper.
2. Cook the rice: Cook your rice according to package instructions, ensuring it is fully cooked but not mushy.
3. Heat the wok: Add cooking oil to a hot wok over high heat.
4. Cook the eggs: Crack eggs into the wok and scramble them quickly, pushing them to the side of the pan.
5. Add vegetables and garlic: Sauté chopped vegetables (like carrots, peas, onion) and minced garlic in the wok until softened.
6. Add the rice: Break up the cooked rice and add it to the wok, mixing well with the vegetables.
7. Cook the shrimp: Add the prepared shrimp to the wok and stir-fry until cooked through, usually only a few minutes.
8. Season with sauces: Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and any other desired seasonings (like sesame oil) and stir to combine.
9. Serve immediately: Transfer the fried rice to serving plates and garnish with green onions if desired.
