Baldi is the main character. He just was on a YouCanThink pad in Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning. He would get mad if you answered a math problem wrong.
The Principal of the Thing would give you detention. If you broke a school rule, he'd give you detention.
Playtime was a little girl who wanted to ploay jumprope. She'd say "Let's plaaay!" and make you jumop rope 10 times. Later, this was decreased to five times. Before v1.3 of Baldi's Basics Classic, there were no Safety Scissors to cut the jumprope, which means that you couldn't stop her.
The bully would stand in the hallway and steal people's items. If you had nothing you couldn't pass. You could only pass if you had something, and once you did pass him, one of your items would be taken.
Gotta Sweep just moved aroud the schoolhouse. If you were in his way while he was moving, he'd push you until you could get off.
1.1 Early Fame
A youtuber named Kindly Keyin started posting videos in 2018, just months after the game released. Other YouTubers began to post Baldi's Basics videos, too, like The Frustrated Gamer and YuB.
This is pretty good for the game, because it got it more visits and more people played it. This helped Micah McGonigal.
1.2 1st Prize
1st Prize was a very good robot. He would wander around the schoolhouse, but was programmed to love. He would push you if you were in his way, but he'd say something like, "Will you marry me?" He is also known for other quotes like, "I hug people for all eternity."
1st Prize was added in baldi's Basics in Education and Learning (now also known as Baldi's Basics Classic) v. 1.3
1st Prize was a character full of love.
1.3 Removed items
Other things in the game that are no longer in it are:
- one floor
- The impossible math question(The one no one can answer and that Baldi gets mad if you answer wrong every time)
- four exits
1.4 Arts and Crafters
Arts and Crafters was added in Baldi's Basics Classic and did not do much. He just would stand in a corner. If you stared at Arts and Crafters, he would chase you. If he got to you, he would teleport you. Now, it only happens if you collect all the notebooks on a floor and stare at him.
Chapter 2: Baldi's Basics Demos
The game realeased demos for everyone.
The Field Trip Demo was released on July 24, 2018. It was a big version that included the original camping field trip in the full game.
The Full Game Demo was released on August 12, 2019. It added one new character - Chalkles. Baldi's Basics full game early demo also had eight class rooms, each with a notebook.
The Kickstarter Exclusive Demo was released on November 2, 2019. It had three floors, elevators, and on each floor you had to collect a different amount of notebooks:
- Floor 1 had five notebooks
- Floor 2 had six or seven notebooks
- Floor 3 had nine notebooks
This map also included new characters.
2.1 Beans
Beans was a guy who is 30-35 25-30 years old. He would try to blow bubblegum, but would usually just spit it out. When he was added, there was a 20% chance he would blow a bubble. But he would usually just spit it out.
2.2 Mrs. Pomp
Mrs. Pomp had a high-heel, and would usually hop around in it.
If she saw you, she'd hop up to you, remindin you to be at her class. A timer would go down, and you had to get to her class before the timer ran out.
If you made it in time, you'd get YTPs.
If you were late, she'd wait until you entered a room, unless if you were already in a room when the timer went out. Then she'd scream at you, "WHYYYYYYY... WEREN'T YOU AT MY CLAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
She'd hop around for many seconds, but then stop hopping around, would just say, "Class dismissed", and leave.
2.3 Challenges Demo
The Challenges Demo was released on April 14, 2020.
It had only three challenges:
- Speedy - Baldi and you could move very fast!
- Stealthy - There were many Princial of the Things. They were looking for you. If they saw you, they'd say, "No being in school after-hours in the halls!" and chase you. In the demo, there was door to escape detention. However, this was later removed.
- Grapple - You have to use a grappling hook to move around.
Chapter 3:The Full game
v0.1 was the full game released, released to the public on June 12, 2020. It added new things like the Portal Poster, and 1st Prize was not in the game. He was added again in v. 0.2.1.
There were many unadded features, which were added in later versions.
The portal poster was just added in to have new pathways in the game.
The first version of the full release had very little features compared to what later versions were like.
In v0.2, Johnny's store was added. It loaded in between levels. This was later replaced with the current Johnny's shop, which hasits own floor.
Baldi was albe to slap a ruler while chasing you.
Math notebooks are very common now, spawning in almost every floor. Floor 4 and 5 were unused from v0.1 until v0.10.
V.0.3 replaced the camping field trip with one where you had to answer math problems to put the right amount of fuel into each fire. Each group of firewood had a math problem on it, and you had to solve the math problem by swapping the fires; each fire had a number on it.
Baldi was the main character, but overtime, the game stopped updating so quickly. v0.3.4 was released on July 2, 2021. V.0.3.5 was released on May 7, 2022! It was 10 months and 5 days in between updates. But that wasn't the longest pause in between updates.
3.1 V0.3.8 and V0.4
On November 4, 2022, Baldi's Basics + released v.0.3.8, which didn't add much. But then, the game looked like it was on pause.
V0.3.8 was the latest version in December 2022, and in the first quarter of 2023. In March 2023, a Baldi's Basics mod was released called, "Raldi's Crackhouse".
Still the rest of 2023 went by, and the latest version of Baldi's Basics + was still v.0.3.8. Would there ever be another update?
In January 2024, the latest version of Baldi's Basics + was still v0.3.8. Then, on February 19, 2024, a pre-release of v0.4 finally released. It had been 1 year, 3 months, and 15 days since the last update had been released.
On Fevruary 26, 2024, 1 year, 3 months, and 22 days since v.0.3.8, Baldi's Basics + had released v0.4, a new update that added new textures, items, and new voicelines.
3.2 Version 0.4
Baldi's Basics + v0.4 was released to the public on February 26, 2024. It was the only version in over one year! It was the version that introduced a new character: Dr. Reflex. He just ran up to you when he saw you and would give you a reflex test. If you passed, he'd give you YTPs, but you'd lose five YTPs for every time you failed the test.
If you left while you were still in session, Dr. Reflex would run to the hospital room to get his hammer and chase after you with it. When he caught you, he'd smarh you with it. Then he'd say, "See? That wasn't so bad!" The player would not be able to collect items or use water fountains when smashed, which would usually last about 30 seconds
Textures were also changed, like the BSODA texture.
3.3 New Updates
Then the game began to update very quickly. In December 2024, v.0.8 of Baldi's Basics + was fully released.
3.3.1 v0.5
v.0.5 was released on May 6, 2024. It added the 'nana peel, which was used for sliding around in the schoolhouse.
3.3.2 v0.6
v.0.6 was released on July 12, 2024, which was a bigger update than v. 0.5.
This version added a Diet BSODA, which was less effective than the normal BSODA.
Another addition was the TV Baldi. Before v0.6, there was a bell and a text message that said what the current event was. However, in Baldi's Basics + v0.6, the intercom was replaced by a TV with Baldi on it, and the TV Baldi would say what the current event was. The bell ringing was also replaced by a short song.
The new Johnny's shop had its own floor, and it replaced the old feature where you'd just go in without having its own floor.
3.3.3 v0.7
On September 9, 2024, v.0.7 was released to the public. It included a new camping field trip, where'd you'd get to play one of two minigames. If you won, you'd be able to pcik three tiems to bring bak to the schoolhouse.
To go on this field trip, you'd have to be able to get a new item called the "Buss Pass". If you got the item, you'd be able to go on a bus that would load on the same level as Johnny's shop after beating floor 2.
3.3.4 v0.8
On December 12, 2024, a new update was released to Baldi's Basics +. It was v0.8, and it added new vents, and a new time limit on each floor. When the timer hit 00:00, TV Baldi would appear and say, "Class dismissed! School is no longer in session! Better wrap things up soon, or else I'm gonna fiiiiiindd yoooooooouuuuuuuu!!!"
3.3.5 v0.9
On February 10, 2025, a new version was released. It was v0.9.
The new update featured a tutorial, which was for people who were new to Baldi's Basics +.
3.3.6 v0.10
On April 21, 2025, Micah McGonigal released v0.10 of Baldi's Basics +.
This update added students, which would wander around the schoolhouse.
If they saw you, they'd ask you for an item, which would be displayed in a little bubble.
If you found/had the item they wanted and gave it to them, they'd give you YTPS and would just disappear.
Chapter 4: The Popular Baldi's Basics Gamers
The Frustrated Gamer was born on June 12, 1992. The full release for Baldi's Basics + was on June 12, 2020.
He posted Baldi's Basics videos since 2018, and has posted videos where he played Baldi's Bascis videos about:

- Baldi's Basics 2025 Edition

- Raldi's Crackhouse
He also played Baldi's Basics videos for new updates like v.0.4, 0.6, & 0.10.

He also has a Baldi model.
PghLFilms is already has over 3,200,000 subscribers and he's only 20 years old!
Reflexes was a horror Baldi's Basics mod, and PghLFilms played it.
Chapter 5: Baldi's Basics Mods
The Baldi's Basics games have many mods, and some of them I have listed above.
5.1 Raldi's Crackhouse
On March 18, 2023, a new Baldi's Basics mod was released on March 18, 2023[1], and has since gained nototiety for iits memes and characters. Raldi comes after you, and instead of the normal first two notebooks, there is something else.
In the first notebook, Raldi sings:

This song is famous for being a parody of "Summer" by Calvin Harris.
In the second notebook, instead of the impossible math question, there's two questions:
- What's 9 + 10?
- What's Obama's last name?
If you chose any answer for the last question, even Obama, (which is correct), Raldi will come after you.
Chipfloke is the principal.
Beans is replaced by Pinto Beans, who shoots a Glock, which is a gun, instead of bubble gum.
Raldi's Crackhouse also has MrBeast, who is a very famouse celebrity
Mr. Beast will come up to you and ask you, "Hey ! Do you ant to participate in my youtube challenge?"
When he gets to you, he teleports you to the cafeteria and you will be in a circle in a "Last Person to Leave the Circle" challenge. If you don't leave before the timer runs out, Mr. Beast will give you an item.
There are many other characters, but I will not describe them here except one.
The Polish cow is famous for its song.
If it touches you in Raldi's Crackhouse, you will be teleported.
5.2 Baldi Likes Cars
Baldi Likes Cars is a mod that The Frustrated Gamer and Kindly Keyin played. Baldi drove around in the car, and a detention was 28,800 seconds long. (That's 8 hours!)
5.3 Baldi Bals the Universe
Baldi will be in the mod, but he is trying to bald the universe.
Set in the Baldi Universe, you have to be careful for Mr. Crabs, Beavis and Butthead, "That's What I Do" Baldi, and even Captain Underpants, who drives around in a van in the Principal's office.
Captain Underpants just drives around in the Principal's office and crashes into the walls.
"That's What I Do" Baldi is, like, a teacher who will come up to you. He will sing a song and will force you to stay in his classroom for fifteen seconds, even if Baldi is nearby.
Spider Baldi is the final boss. If you beat him, you win the mod, and the Baldi Universe is restored!
5.4 BALD_0S
BALD_0S is more scary than other Baldi's Basics mods, but here is one.
The character in BALD_0S has a black-and-white face. He will chase after you when you collect notebooks. Unlike in Baldi's Basics Classic, you do not have to answer math probelms in BALD_0S.
If you get into one of the first two classrooms once you collect all seven notebooks, you will be able to get to a door in the classroom. Once you enter the door, you will be teleported to a dark room with a door. Once you enter the door, you will be teleported to a dark space far away. The door far away is locked, unless if you have a key.
5.5 Reflexes
REFLEXES is a mod PghLFilms played. It has Dr. Reflex, but it is very dark, and when you get a math problem wrong, Dr. Reflex will look like the Dr. Reflex in the back and right of the photo above.
Dr. Reflex will come after you; if he catches you, he will jumpscare you.
