Sometimes you see cars now and think it's nothing, actually, you wouldn't really think anything of it. But if you see cars from back then you would realise how far we have come in the evolution of cars.
As you can see, the cars back then look much different from the cars you see now.
We got to this point in cars thanks to the genius inventors: Hans Hautsch, Karl Benz, and Henry Ford.
Hans Hautsch was born into a family of craftspeople and he was a very skilled craftsperson, inventing the wheelchair. His creation of the wheelchair helped him make a four-wheeled vehicle.
Karl (or Carl) Benz was born in 1844 and like Hans, was an engineer. But unlike Hans, Karl made a three-wheeled vehicle that had techonology much like the cars we use today. One of the pieces of technology used in Karl's version of the car that we use today is a four stroke engine,
First, Hans helped inspire more vehicles to have four wheels.Karl used a four-stroke engine which many cars still use today. Ford made the steering wheel on the left, which all cars have now.
