The goal of this website is to teach you the fundamentals of metal guitar picking. If you want to play faster and cleaner then you came to the right place. I will share with you exercies that will help you improve your alternate picking, string skipping and tremolo picking.
I get that question pretty often. Unless you're only planning to play Black Sabbath riffs until the end of time, you need to practice picking in order to play more complex riffs such as 2000s Metalcore, Black Metal and Death Metal.
I highly recommend having:
NOTE: Using picks that are either too thick or too big might make it more difficult to play faster. I use JAZZ III picks which are small and thick which helps a lot when playing fast picking lines.
