AI Focus Group Feedback
Feedback Synthesis: The AI focus group identified that the Life on Land prototype makes it easy to learn about forests, wildlife, habitat protection, and conservation activities. However, some users may not immediately know what to click first.
The group also suggested making the buttons and navigation clearer so users can quickly understand the difference between learning about a conservation topic and joining a conservation activity.

Tester: "Jordan"
Task: Open the Life on Land prototype, learn about wildlife, and find a conservation activity to join.
Observation Notes: Jordan successfully opened the prototype and found the Wildlife button. However, the tester initially expected the conservation topics and activity options to be grouped more clearly. After selecting Wildlife, Jordan was able to read the information and then find the activities section.
Interview Synthesis: When asked what was confusing, Jordan said the purpose of the Forests, Wildlife, and Habitat Protection buttons was not immediately clear. The tester suggested adding clearer labels or descriptions so users know whether a button provides information or takes them to an activity.
Feedback Synthesis & Changes
- Fix 1 (Navigation): Made the Forests, Wildlife, and Habitat Protection buttons clearly connected to their own topic information screens.
- Fix 2 (Interaction): Added separate JavaScript functions so Forests, Wildlife, and Habitat Protection provide different information instead of doing the same thing.
- Fix 3 (Low-Fidelity Prototype): Fixed the Forests, Wildlife, and Habitat Protection buttons so each one displays its own alert message.
- Fix 4 (Activities): Kept the Find Activities button separate so users can move from learning about conservation topics to finding local activities.
- Fix 5 (User Flow): Improved the flow from Home → Topic Information → Find Activities → Choose Activity → View Details → Join → Confirmation .
Final Testing Result

Testing showed that the Life on Land prototype became easier to understand after the changes. Users could learn about forests, wildlife, and habitat protection, then find conservation activities and join one.
The testing process also helped identify navigation and interaction problems and showed how user feedback can improve the prototype.
The updated prototype now gives users clearer choices, better navigation, and a more organized path from learning about conservation to taking action.
