The Different Types of Computers

  1. Analog Computers - Built with various components such as gears and levers. An advantage of analogue computation is that building an analogue computer to tackle specific problems can be quite straightforward.

  2. Mainframe Computers - Computers that are generally utilized by large enterprises for mission-critical activities such as massive data processing.

  3. Supercomputers - Enormous systems that are purposely-built to solve complicated scientific and industrial problems.

  4. Mini Computers - A type of computer that has many of the same features and capabilities as a larger computer but is smaller in size

  5. Microcomputers - A small computer that is based on a microprocessor integrated circuit, also known as a chip.
