My Digital Vision Board

Values

A visual representation of core values like honesty and integrity
  • Continuous learning: For me, continuous learning is the only way to move forward and progress in an industry like AI or cybersecurity that is always changing.
  • Honesty: For me, honesty means always telling the truth, no matter what the costs.
  • Integrity: For me, integrity means being ethical and moral in all my actions, even when no one is watching.
  • Contentment: For me, being content means being happy with what I have but still having ambition to progress.
  • Success: Success differs for everyone, but my perception of success is that I will be able to live comfortably, realize my dreams, and take care of my friends and family.

Assets

A visual representation of education and teamwork
  • My education: Education is how I can learn more, go to college, and get a job, which is what I want to do in my next chapter.
  • My teammates: My teammates on the CTF team and the cybersecurity club all know and do many knowledgeable things, and I want to learn from them as much as possible.
  • My internship: My internship is currently teaching me about AI, and that knowledge will help me in my next chapter.
  • My parents' support: My parents always support me in everything, and that serves as motivation and keeps me going when things get hard.
  • My strong academic performance: My strong academic performance is one of my best assets as it give me an advantage in college admissions.

Barriers

A visual representation of hurdles and time management
  • Time constraints: As a student, I have many things to do, so I have time constraints for which I need to learn effective time management.
  • Financial limits: Financial limits stop me from fully pursuing my interests and college, so I must adjust to that and maintain my academic performance to get a scholarship.
  • Uncertainty: There's been many changes in my life, and there are many more to come. They might interfere with my studies, so I will have to keep up my performance.
  • Sporadic motivation: Oftentimes, I get really good ideas and I start working on them, but after a couple days, I get tired and move onto a different project, not returning to some for months until I get motivation again. In my career, I will have to be consistent on projects and for that I will have to work on this issue.
  • Fear of failure: My fear of failure often stops me from making even mundane decisions and slows me down, so I will have to let go of that to fully realize my potential.

Mindsets for growth

A mindset I’ll let go

A mindset I will let go is that if I ask for help when I’m struggling, others might see me as weak or less capable.

A mindset I’ll embrace

In place of this, I'm going to adopt the following mindsets:

  • Transforming fear into motivation paves the way for transformative accomplishments. Embracing fear motivates perseverance and propels personal and professional growth.
  • Seeking help is a sign of strength, leading to growth and resilience.
  • Embracing vulnerability will empower me to connect with others and enhance skills.
  • Each challenge faced is an opportunity for discovery and self-improvement. Challenges provide valuable insights and learning experiences that enhance growth.
