Video games have been a source of entertainment for me, they're almost like interactive movies or music videos in some cases. They spark imagination in the worlds the developers have created, the fleshdout characters, the lore behind them, it makes you wonder how they were able to create something that reels you in. True, some of them aren't perfect, a couple of bugs here, some concepts that needed more time there, not every game is a crowd pleaser, but it does build a small fanbase that will talk about it for years. Some dev teams are just small, indie teams that have done a lot with so few resources, or in some cases, just one person.
Above is another example of a great game, but its made by a tripleA studio. This one has a some nice attributes going for it, such as...
But it always had to go through the drawing board before becoming the final product, and sometimes the game follows a pattern.
It can be a grindfest, but I somehow come back to it. Makes you wonder how a group can make something so boring to some into something exciting.
