where BTS started

BTS started back in 2010 in seoul, the capital of South Korea. The seven-member band was formed through auditions by Bit Hit Entertainment in 2010 and 2011, and finalized in 2012. BTS made their musical debut in 2013 with the first of their school trilogy series, their single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. BTS was formed in 2010, after Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si-hyuk wanted to form a hip hop group around RM (Kim Namjoon), an underground rapper who was well known on the music scene in Seoul. Soon, the group had a hit: “BTS as a group sort of took off with the success of our 2015 album that had our hit single 'I NEED U,'” RM tells Time. “We didn't realize we were becoming famous until we were invited to KCONs [K-pop music festivals] in the U.S. and Europe in 2014 or 2015.

How BTS ended

Back in June, BTS made a video that annouced that they will be in the military until 2025. On twitter, It annouced that Jin left the band to start his solo music career. The post revealed that Jin plans to enlist following promotions for the release of his upcoming solo single at the end of October. The other six members — RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — are expected to enlist over the next several years with the company promising a “reconvening” of the group around 2025. While BTS has announced a hiatus and their military service, almost all members are focusing on their solo careers. J-Hope, RM and Suga (known for his solo alias 'Agust D') have already launched solo debuts in the past, however it was announced that Jin will finally be making his solo debut in October 2022.
