What Is Tremolo Picking?

Tremolo picking is a technique in which the player rapidly alternates between upstrokes and downstrokes on the same string. Its most commonly used in Black Metal although you can find it in Death Metal and Metalcore.

Practice Tips

  1. Start slow with a metronome
  2. Use small pick movements
  3. Keep wrist relaxed
  4. Focus timing and consistancy
