Auditing and Implementing ADA Compliant Code with Style and Function

Hello! I'm Elizabeth Scotti, a front-end web developer looking to break into the accessibility field. I'd love to begin working with you!

As an artist with a keen interest in the tech field, I have always sought to marry aesthetics with functionality. How we shape public facing media has a profound influence on consumer impressions, and I can help you create websites that combine your chosen feel with proper function for users of all abilities without compromise.

Qualifications

In 2024, I decided to develop the knowledge from my degree towards a new field, and began taking courses under LaunchIT's Web Accessibility Professional Track. The certifications I have earned are as follows:

  • IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
  • Codecraft Works Document Remediation Specialist Certificate
  • Codecraft Works Emerging Web Development Professional Certificate

I began my schooling at Westfield State University, earning my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art with a concentration in Graphic Design, including classes on Typography, color relationships, digital graphics, publication design, and more. After admiring the UI/UX field for some time and fiddling with existing layouts to alter them to my liking, I decided it was time to become a proper developer.

Portfolio

Here, you can see the progression of my work from the beginning of my schooling to today. At least for now.

Sun City Paints, a business site with a purple heading, logo, and a navigation bar.
A demonstration of flexboxes, figures, and details.
A recipe webpage featuring an ingredients list in a dashed border and justified time and servings.
A demonstration of lists, borders, and justified text.
An eyepiercing site in rainbow colors, animal print, and a Lisa Frank peace sign proclaiming that graphic design is my passion.
A truly horrible website meant to mimic a teen girl's 90s webpage demonstrating borders, various content positionings, link styles, animations, and more.
