A series of deaths emerge within No. 6 Shion and his mother start a new life in Lost Town Shion is suspected of malcontent. Shion becomes bedridden by a parasitic bee his hair changes color. Rat and Shion meet with Rikiga, a former Latch Bill reporter investigating the eeriness surrounding. The parasitic bee epidemic begins to spread; Rat and Safu are rendered unconscious. Safu gets captured by the Bureau of Public Security; Shion's mother asks for Rat's help. Nezumi conducts research on the correctional facility, Shion makes a discovery while at a thrift shop and the two make a pact to stop keeping secrets from one another. Shion and Rat meet a man who shares secrets of Shion's past. Holy Day is fast approaching and Rat, Shion, and Inukashi learn about a cleansing operation that will take place the day before. After being herded into the correctional facility, Rat and Shion fight their way through the throngs and begin to search for Safu. The Holy Day is here and chaos erupts. Nezumi bids farewell to Shion with a kiss, choosing to leave No. 6. A dog comes to Shion carrying the baby he had rescued earlier. Shion destroys the chip that the legless man gave him and takes the baby, the dog, and Hamlet and walks back towards the city, telling himself that he'll meet Nezumi again someday.
